it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing kids, full of potential and curiosity. What I love most about them is their eagerness to learn and their strong spirit. Last year, the DonorsChoose community was a huge help in supporting my students, and I’m so thankful for that. This year, I’m asking for a bit more help to continue making a difference.
Our school is an equity-focused school, and many of our students rely on us for their sustenance so, the snacks I’ve included in this project are crucial.
They don’t just fill hungry bellies; they provide the energy my students need to stay focused and engaged. Many of my kids come to school hungry, which makes it hard for them to concentrate.
Having snacks, like Hershey’s Kisses and Dum Dum lollipops, will be a game-changer. These snacks will give my students the energy they need to make the most of their learning. Many of them don’t realize how much their eating habits affect their ability to focus.
My project has two goals: to teach my students about good nutrition and to help them develop healthy eating habits that will benefit them beyond the classroom. By providing snacks, I want to support their overall well-being and create an environment where they can thrive both mentally and physically.
