My Project
As a 6th-grade teacher, I love finding creative ways to keep my students engaged and motivated. One of the best ways to connect learning to real life is through hands-on experiences and that often includes food! Whether it's sharing Moon Pies during a Mardi Gras lesson or giving students freeze-dried ice cream while learning about the Space Race, food helps make learning memorable and meaningful.
Providing these themed snacks will create meaningful connections to the lessons, helping students better understand and remember the material.
Unfortunately, our district doesn’t allow teacher funds to be used for food items, which makes it difficult to provide these experiences for my students. Your support will help me keep my students energized and engaged by providing snacks and treats that tie into our lessons and celebrate their successes throughout the year. Thank you for helping me make learning fun and meaningful for my students!
