My Project
Our classroom serves a diverse group of students eager to engage in hands-on learning. With our classroom's 3D printer, we've been able to transform imaginative ideas into tangible 3D models. However, to continue this innovative work, we need two crucial ingredients: filament and a filament dryer.
The 3D printer has become a centerpiece of our science and engineering lessons, allowing students to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and design skills.
Unfortunately, our supply of filament is running low, and the high humidity in Hawaii makes it challenging to keep moisture out of the filament. This often leads to print quality issues. A filament dryer will ensure optimal printing conditions by removing moisture and preserving the integrity of our materials. Without these resources, our exciting projects may be paused.
We're requesting a variety of high-quality filament spools, including PLA and specialty filaments like glow-in-the-dark or flexible materials, as well as a reliable filament dryer to tackle humidity challenges. These tools will empower students to continue experimenting with design and function, taking on advanced projects such as creating parts for engineering challenges, custom gifts, and community-based initiatives.
