Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using Scholastic Scope in my middle school classroom will greatly enhance students’ learning by providing engaging, high-quality articles and diverse reading materials tailored to their interests and reading levels. The carefully selected content, combined with thought-provoking questions and activities, will help students improve critical reading skills, vocabulary, and comprehension. This resource also supports differentiated instruction, allowing each student to access texts that challenge them appropriately and deepen their understanding of complex topics.

My goal for this project is to foster a love of reading while building essential literacy skills that students need to succeed across all subjects; by integrating Scholastic Scope into our lessons, I aim to encourage students to think critically about the texts, make connections to real-world issues, and express their ideas clearly through discussion and writing.

Ultimately, I want to empower students to become confident readers and effective communicators, preparing them for academic success and lifelong learning.

What makes my students special is their curiosity and resilience. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives that enrich our classroom discussions. Many of them are eager to explore new ideas and work hard to overcome challenges. By providing them with resources like Scholastic Scope, I can support their growth and help each student realize their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
