Fueling Future Scientists and Mathematicians

Help me give my students a love for science and math through picture books and a variety of hands-on activities. These will include observing specimen bug collections, PLUS PLUS mini-puzzles, and Pentominoes!

My Project

My students are curious, imaginative, and full of questions. They light up when they get to explore hands-on materials, investigate nature, and solve challenging puzzles. With your support, we can build a classroom environment that sparks creativity and deep thinking in both math and science.

This project includes science-themed picture books, bug observation kits, PLUS PLUS mini-building puzzles, and Pentominoes sets to help us explore big ideas in engaging, tactile ways.

Science Picture Books will introduce students to concepts like life cycles, weather, animal adaptations, and the scientific method in an age-appropriate and story-rich format. These books help build background knowledge and vocabulary while inspiring natural wonder.

Bug Observation Kits give students the chance to explore the tiny ecosystems around them. We'll use these tools to observe real insects, record findings, and ask questions like real scientists do!

PLUS PLUS Puzzles and Pentominoes challenge students to build, create, and problem-solve using spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, and logic. These materials reinforce important STEM skills like perseverance, collaboration, and critical thinking, all while being fun and engaging.

Together, these resources will help students make connections across disciplines: using math to solve puzzles, using science to investigate the natural world, and using books to deepen their understanding and curiosity.

Your donation will help foster a classroom culture of exploration, creativity, and resilience, one where students don’t just memorize answers, but learn how to ask questions, try ideas, and build solutions.
