This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, determined, and full of creativity. As we prepare for our upcoming STEAM Fair, they are spending countless hours researching, designing, building, and refining their projects. For many of them, this is their first opportunity to showcase their scientific thinking and artistic innovation in front of peers, teachers, and community members. What I love most about my students is their willingness to go the extra mile—even when faced with personal and academic challenges.

Some of my students come to school without breakfast or lunch, and stay after school to work on their STEAM projects; As they put in this extra effort, they deserve the energy and nourishment to keep going.

This project seeks to provide healthy snacks—like granola bars, trail mix, and fruit cups—to help fuel their minds and bodies during this intensive and exciting time.

Providing snacks may seem small, but it makes a big difference. It shows students that their hard work is valued, that their health and success matter, and that there are people rooting for them beyond the classroom. With your support, we can give them the fuel they need to keep thinking critically, collaborating with peers, and proudly presenting their creative ideas. Thank you for helping us support their journey as future scientists, engineers, artists, and innovators.
