This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our first-grade classroom, snacks are more than just treats—they’re an essential part of helping my Fabulous Firsties stay focused, engaged, and energized. Whether it’s solving math problems, writing stories, or exploring science, my students give their best effort every day, and a quick snack break helps them recharge and stay motivated.
I’m requesting a variety of snacks, including Goldfish crackers, Doritos, pretzels, SkinnyPop popcorn, Fig Newtons, gummy bears, and cookies, to ensure my students have options that fuel both their minds and bodies.
Snack time isn’t just about refueling—it’s an opportunity to make learning fun! For example, students can count crackers to practice math, create shapes with pretzels, or describe their favorite snack in a sentence to build literacy skills.
Snack time also fosters joy, builds community, and creates a welcoming classroom environment where students feel valued. These snacks bring excitement and energy to their day, making school feel even more like a second home.
