My Project

Art is more than just a subject—it’s a critical outlet for creativity, expression, and self-discovery. In our predominantly Black, underfunded Chicago public school, we lack the basic art supplies that can help our students tap into their creative potential.

Your donation would provide essential materials that can transform their learning experience.

Many of our students face daily challenges related to poverty and systemic inequalities, and art offers them a powerful way to process their emotions and tell their stories. However, without proper resources, their ability to explore this creative outlet is limited.

By donating, you are investing directly in their futures. Quality art supplies will help our students express themselves, develop confidence, and find success in an area that may otherwise be inaccessible to them. These tools also offer them a way to connect with their cultural heritage, fostering a deep sense of pride and identity as they explore the richness of Black art, history, and culture.

Engaging in creative projects builds critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills—abilities they can carry into other academic areas and throughout their lives.
