My students need Dash and Dot robots with tools to start robotics and coding in our classroom, toner for our classroom printer to print our centers, and Osmo sets for our iPads to integrate augmented reality!
Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand. Step back and I will act.-Chinese Proverb. Have you ever heard this quote? It describes our school day to a tee! Involving students with hands-on and relevant activities is imperative in today's world.
When you come into our classroom, you will see 24 bright and smiling faces, no matter what is going on in the world around them.
My students are eager to please and they work hard to get from point A to point B. No matter what you put in front of them, my students diligently complete the task to its fullest extent in the best way possible. In our classroom, my students come from low socioeconomic homes. My goal as their teacher is to be able to provide them with activities and materials that will impact them for the rest of their lives, even in 3rd grade. With having this ability to influence my students' lives with a variety of technology tools, we decided to fuel our classroom with Chevron so that we may grow as individuals that will grow to become responsible citizens in today's world.

Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand. Step back and I will act. - Chinese Proverb. Have you ever heard this quote? It describes what our school day is all about! Involving students with hands-on activities is imperative in today's world.
When you come into our classroom, you will see my students eagerly and happily working with hands-on materials in all subject areas, especially while integrating technology.
But, even though we have access to technology, we need to continue keeping up with the ever changing world around us. STEM is huge in education, with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. My students thoroughly enjoy and get to experience the science and mathematics portion of STEM, but our technology can always improve! By using manipulatives, tools, and, simply, their hands with tools such as our Dash and Dot robots and the Osmo additions, my students will be able to be exposed to an all new world of opportunities. Knowing that they could have access to more technology as a class to better stretch their minds and show what they know is very exciting to them, and they love being able to show it on a daily basis. By providing ink for our classroom, students will be able to integrate their graphic organizers into the coding and robotics curriculum, complete printed center activities while utilizing our Osmo technology, and create projects using their Makey Makey from paper alone! Chevron will not only fuel the progress my students will see this year, but fuel their minds with ideas and take their learning from paper and pencil to 3D applications and hands-on integration!
