This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The graphic novels I selected—like El Club de las Baby-Sitters and Hilo—will be used during independent and partner reading time to build fluency, comprehension, and confidence in Spanish. These high-interest texts are perfect for my bilingual and emerging readers because they provide visual context and accessible vocabulary. The Spanish games I chose, such as ¡Adivina Quién! and Lotería, will be used in small group stations to reinforce vocabulary and conversational skills in a fun, interactive way. These materials will help create a rich, language-filled environment where students are excited to read, speak, and learn Spanish every day.
