My Project
My students come to school needing us to meet lots of needs. Many of their little tummies are hungry and it is hard to stay focused when you are thinking about lunch or your next meal. Being able to provide my students with snacks as they need them is so important. Building a positive and healthy classroom community is something that I pride myself on. I have students from previous years that come back daily for hugs or check-ins and I know that is in big part related to how they felt when they were in my classroom. Snacks, along with lots of love, help make sure that my students are learning in first grade as well as becoming lifelong learners.
