My Students
All of my students live in a large city in Michigan and receive free lunch. All of my students come to me hungry for knowledge. Here, at our wonderful school, there is something for everyone. Even the parents like to engage in our learning opportunities.
My students don't like sitting around; they like to be engaged and to explore new things.
As their teacher, I would like to make available a wide variety of learning materials so they can engage and learn in a variety of ways. I also want to make sure they are well fed so they can concentrate on learning and not hunger pains.
My Project
Many of my students come to school hungry. Having ready available snacks like Goldfish crackers and juice allows them to grab a snack and keep on learning. The fruit snacks are perfect for the afternoon. They allow my students to get a little pick me up in the afternoon and keep on going to dismissal.
Many times a snack is needed to go home in their book bags as they get hungry at home.
Having these prewrapped snacks and juices boxes are perfect for this situation. The workbooks will be used to work on skills at home and over the summer months so learning is not lost.
