This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a strong team of 20 seventh and eighth graders who are preparing to conquer 26.2 miles through the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the LA Marathon. We have been practicing 3x a week after school since August and we run increased miles each Saturday. Currently, we are up to 13 miles!

These kiddos are demonstrating that no challenge can go undefeated with drive and determination.

However, they need the fuel to be able to do it! We are requesting snacks and drinks to fuel our long weekend practice runs. My students and I very grateful for your support!
