Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This equipment will help us amplify our student athletes performance through some of the most foundational aspects for core strength, and speed and power development. Posterior chain strength through the use of the Roman Chair is such a missing link in a lot of sport strength training programs that enhances speed and power, but most importantly reduces the risk for injury. Speed resistance ropes and squat wedge blocks will help us train our athletes from the ground up for speed and power development.
Our program integrates high-quality sport instruction with athletic development, including training in coordination, reaction, strength, agility, and visual tracking.
We also introduce students to recovery techniques and wellness practices aimed at injury prevention and long-term health. These components are essential in helping youth understand how to care for their bodies and stay active throughout life.
Our coaching team brings elite-level experience and credentials:
Head Coach: A former Division I collegiate tennis player and 26-year certified teaching professional, with expertise in racquet sports including pickleball.
Assistant Coach: A professional soccer player, high-level tennis athlete, certified personal trainer of 9 years, with advanced certifications in nervous system integration, sports performance, and recovery, and former registered nurse.
We emphasize social-emotional development, body awareness, and nervous system optimization, while teaching students how movement, skill acquisition, and play contribute to health, longevity, and overall well-being. Notably, both racquet sports and soccer rank among the top three activities shown to improve lifespan.
Through this program, we aim to educate youth in fitness, sport, and self-care—laying a foundation for healthier, more active futures.
