Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are wonderful, loving children that love to learn. They come from very low income households and many times they come to school hungry. Some students will go until the next day at lunch without eating.
Their hunger strongly impacts their learning and socialization in a negative way. Having snacks in the classroom for them will ensure that none of my students will be hungry in the morning or throughout the school day.
When children are nourished and full they are happier, more social, and more motivated to learn and complete classroom tasks.
