Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are K-5th grade students! They are both general education and special education students and they are made up of English Language Learners and students whose first language is English. We are a very diverse community.

My students have me for a 45 minute Computer Science and/ or Character Ed class at least once per week.

My students are eager to learn and are making progress each week.

The students are highly motivated by hands-on activities and project based learning. Currently, due to social distancing guidelines, computer is on the go in their classroom rather than in the computer lab.

My Project

My students come to school eager to learn. They are given a school provided breakfast and lunch but sometimes need an additional snack to make it through the day.

These snacks would fuel my students and help them to be the best learners they could be!

Every student has the potential to do well in school. Failing to provide good nutrition puts them at risk for missing out on meeting that potential. However, taking action today to provide snack choices in schools can help to set students up for a successful future full of possibilities.
