Fuel Growing Minds

Help me give my students fuel to focus! I also work mainly with boys and they need some extra hygiene items to help them feel more comfortable at school.

My Project

It seems to be a common theme that students need some extra fuel to help them go through the day to stay focused. We as educators know that our students need additional healthy snacks to help them get by for the next class periods. We do not have vending machines or student-run stores for kids to purchase food.

I have seen my students thrive better when they have incentives to earn snacks or when they have come to me privately asking for food because they are hungry and haven't eaten breakfast or lunch.

I want to help them to feel safe and provided at school.

The majority of our students are considered Title I students, and more often than naught, they just need something to bide them until the school-provided breakfast/lunch is given. I also want to provide my male students with mini versions of deodorant. They are middle school students and sometimes just need something extra to have in their bags after sports or a sweltering day at school.
