This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom, we do a lot of workshops and small group work to provide individualized instruction for all students in the most hands-on and engaging way possible. I want each student to have their needs met to make learning fun and challenging.
My students are motivated learners.
They love science and math! They like to ask questions and try to come up with their own solutions to problems. They also love to listen to stories and are eager to learn to read them on their own. They deserve all of the resources for the best education!
My Project
The resources I requested will give the students interactive ways to learn. They will be able to use the giant magnetic tens frames and place value blocks to work through math problems and explain their thinking to their friends. The pencil sharpener and timer will keep them prepared to do their math problem solving journals. The iPad will give them access to interactive learning apps for centers, intervention, and enrichment, as well as record results of their science experiments. They will use the headphones to listen to books specifically at their reading level on the computer to help their fluency and develop a love for reading.
The donations will give us some classroom essentials that we will use daily, as well as some resources to make learning more accessible to all students and more fun for all.
I spend as much money as I can and parents help when they can, but we just can't afford everything we need. Donating to this class, will be a small investment into the brighter future of these motivated learners!
