My Project
There is never a dull day in 4th grade. We have 29 students in the classroom, most just coming to the United States within the past two to three years. There is not a day that goes by that I don't marvel at how strong these children are, coming from situations and places that would test the strongest adult. Yes, they are resilient.
Extra snacks are just not available in our student's home to bring to school to help keep their their endurance going.
It's long school day. Most of our studenets ride the bus so they are up at 6:30 AM or before. Most catch the bus before 7 AM. The students do get breakfast in the morning but 4th grade lunch is not until 1PM.
