Help me give my students frogs for dissection this year! Our Forensics classes want to do a autopsy on a frog. This would be enough frogs for three classes to work in groups of three.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Della Posta's classroom raised $450

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in an inner city school with 100 percent poverty level.
Our diverse group of students are smart, capable and interested in conducting more hands on science projects and learning about the application of science to their real lives.
They have promise and drive to learn, but our school lacks the ability to afford many of the supplies that would help them to grow. My students are constantly requesting more STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) projects to enhance their learning.
My Project
Every year my Forensic classes look forward to a frog dissection. The dissections takes place after we complete the unit on autopsy and death. Students apply their newly learned information to conduct an autopsy on the frog, write up an official autopsy sketch and report (both internal and external) then create a cause of death for the frog based on their findings. This project ties biology, physiology and forensics together in a high interest, hands on project. My students always look forward to determining how Jane Frog died and presenting their findings to the class.
