This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year bilingual ICT second grade teacher, I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. My classroom serves a diverse group of learners, including English Language Learners and students with special needs, each bringing unique strengths and challenges.

Starting from scratch, I am working to build a classroom that is both welcoming and well-equipped.

Many of my students face economic hardships, and I want to ensure they have access to the materials and resources they need to thrive academically and socially. Whether it’s tools for hands-on learning, culturally responsive books, or flexible seating for focus and comfort, every item will help me meet my students where they are and guide them toward success.
