From the Ground Up: Building a Hands-On Engineering Space

My Project
I teach high school engineering, and my students are some of the most creative, curious, and determined kids you'll ever meet. They love building, problem-solving, and working together to bring their ideas to life — but our classroom furniture just doesn’t match their energy.
This project will help transform our space into a hands-on engineering lab.
Right now, we’re working on computer lab tables and seating that’s not built for active learning. The adjustable-height workbenches will give students sturdy, flexible surfaces for building projects, testing prototypes, and collaborating in groups. The wobble stools will give them the freedom to move, stay engaged, and focus during long work sessions — especially helpful for students who need a little motion to stay on task.
These upgrades will make a huge difference in the way my students learn and create. They deserve a space that supports the amazing work they’re already doing — from the ground up.
