My Project
The Eagle Wings Book Club is a group of dedicated young readers who go above and beyond their school duties to engage in the reading process. Such dedication deserves reward. To help them compare different readers' and directors' points of view, we would like to engage in viewing multiple film versions of texts we read.
Please help me provide my students an immersive reading experience by allowing them to indulge in authentic movie days of book to film adaptations.
Beginning with Alice Walker's The Color Purple and F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, students will receive a full on movie experience including film tickets, candy, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, and all the movie amenities offered.
Keeping young minds interested in the printed word takes creativity. This endeavor is one way to foster their love for learning more about the written word and viewing other's interpretations of what they have read. Your help in making this happen will be a pleasant treat for them. Thank you in advance.
