My Project
I love how imaginative, dedicated, and fearless my students are. Whether they're drawing fashion sketches or collaborating backstage, they bring heart and creativity to everything they do. Each year, they take on the challenge of designing and building costumes for our school plays and musicals in both the fall and spring semesters. These productions are student-driven—from concept to curtain call—and our artists thrive when given the opportunity to shape the visual story.
This project will provide two medium and two small Dritz Sew You Adjustable Dress Forms that will serve as essential tools in both our Arts and Theatre programs.
Students will use them to bring costumes and designs to life—learning how to drape fabric, fit garments to different body types, and adjust patterns in real time. These dress forms give students a hands-on, professional experience in costume and fashion design, boosting their technical skills and creative confidence.
Our goals are to help students build real-world design skills, foster creative expression, and take ownership of their learning through project-based experiences. What makes these goals special is that they combine the arts with teamwork, storytelling, and technical precision. Your support will empower students to go beyond the sketchpad—to craft the costumes that bring our school’s productions and their artistic visions to life.
