My Project
As part of our Kindergarten Taking Care of the Earth unit in ELA, we are seeking a compost machine to help my young learners connect classroom concepts to real world environmental action. This unit focuses on caring for the planet, understanding natural cycles, and developing responsible habits - all which are brought to life through hands on composting of their lunch scraps.
With a compost machine, students will witness food waste transforming into rich soil, reinforcing lessons about sustainability, decomposition, and the importance of reducing waste.
This hands on tool will not only enhance scientific understanding, but also nurture a sense of environmental stewardship from an early age.
By integrating composting into our classroom, we aim to cultivate lifelong habits of conservation and care for the Earth reducing waste, starting right here in our own learning space!
