In our 3rd grade classroom, every pencil holds the power to tell a story, and every marker adds color to a child’s imagination.
My students are curious, creative, and full of potential—but we’re missing some of the basic tools that help bring their learning to life.
Many of my students come to school eager to express themselves, but too often, we’re short on the essentials—like pencils for writing and markers for creating. These simple supplies are more than classroom tools; they are the building blocks of confidence, self-expression, and learning.
Just the other day, one of my students, asked, “Do we get to use the nice markers today, or are we saving them for something special?” That question stayed with me—because in our classroom, every day should feel special. Every child deserves access to tools that make them feel proud of their work.
