My Project
My students are natural storytellers. Every day, they amaze me with their creativity, humor, and unique perspectives. They bring big dreams to the classroom, but we lack the tools to turn those dreams into reality. A color printer, ink, a comb binder, and plastic presentation covers may sound simple, but in our hands, they’ll become instruments of transformation.
Imagine this: a shy student writes a heartfelt poem and sees it beautifully printed in color.
Another perfects a drawing and beams as it becomes the cover of our class zine. These supplies will allow us to create professional-looking publications—magazines, zines, and even a school newspaper—while fostering pride, confidence, and collaboration.
The color printer and ink will bring their words and art to life in vivid color, making every project feel meaningful. The comb binder will turn stacks of pages into polished, bound publications. Plastic covers will protect their hard work, giving it a professional, lasting finish. These tools will teach students real-world skills like publishing, teamwork, and presentation while showcasing their voices.
My students are a group of thinkers, dreamers, and doers. Some are confident writers and artists, while others are just discovering the power of their voices. I’ll never forget a student who said, “I didn’t know anyone would want to read my story.” When we printed it, they held it like a treasure.
