My Project

These specific items directly support active, engaging learning. Cardstock is perfect for durable hands-on activities like flashcards, foldables, and student-made games. Anchor chart paper allows us to create visual references for key concepts that stay up all year, reinforcing learning daily. Pencils are a basic but essential tool—without them, students can’t write, take notes, or complete assignments. Laminating sheets protect reusable materials like center activities and vocabulary cards, helping them last longer and saving time and resources. EXPO markers make lessons interactive—students love coming up to the board, showing their thinking, and participating in small group whiteboard work. Together, these tools create a classroom where students are active participants in their learning.

The goals for this project are to:

1. Provide my 90 students with consistent access to high-quality classroom supplies like pencils, cardstock, anchor chart paper, EXPO markers, and laminating sheets, so they’re always prepared to learn.

2. Create a more interactive and engaging learning environment through visuals, hands-on materials, and reusable resources that support different learning styles.

3. Foster student confidence, creativity, and independence by equipping them with the tools they need to fully participate in lessons and activities every day.

4. Build a classroom that feels organized, welcoming, and inspiring, where students know their learning matters and their ideas are valued.

What makes my Title I students special is their resilience, curiosity, and heart. Despite facing challenges outside the classroom—like limited resources or support—they show up every day ready to learn, grow, and connect. They ask thoughtful questions, celebrate each other’s wins, and bring a unique perspective to everything we do. They don’t take learning for granted, and that drive makes every small success feel huge. Their determination, kindness, and ability to thrive when given the right tools is what makes them truly extraordinary.
