From Hangry to Happy: Supporting Sel With Healthy Snacks!
Help me give my students healthy snacks to fuel SEL growth! Hungry kids can’t focus or learn emotional skills, but with your help, we’ll keep bellies full, minds sharp, and hangry meltdowns at bay.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of what I do as a school counselor. In our small groups, students learn skills like managing emotions, building friendships, and boosting self-confidence. But you know what’s hard to manage? A growling stomach!
When students are hungry, it’s hard for them to focus, regulate emotions, or engage fully in SEL activities.
These snacks ensure that their bodies and minds are properly fueled, helping them stay calm, attentive, and ready to learn vital life skills. With your support, these healthy snacks will transform our small group sessions into spaces where students can grow emotionally and thrive academically!
Hungry kids don’t just lose focus—they lose patience, energy, and sometimes their cool (hello, hangry mode!). To help our students fully engage in SEL lessons and fuel their growing bodies, we’re on a mission to stock up on healthy snacks. Because when kids are well-fed, they’re ready to learn and thrive—both emotionally and physically.
These snacks aren’t just about feeding hungry bellies—they’re tools that enhance lessons, encourage participation, and create a comfortable, welcoming space for students to grow. With your help, these small but mighty items will make a big difference in our students’ SEL learning!
