This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students love science because they try to explain the world around them. Students also engage in building models as they learn scientific concepts.

Highlight of science in my classrooms are engineering projects like building a roller coaster from design to building it.

They experience what criteria and constraints are.

They learn that after a failed attempt come new questions, new data and new hypothesis. They go back to change their models in order to make the rollercoaster work. They know that is ok if it doesn't come out perfect on the first try.
