Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are a wonderful group of 7th graders currently taking Civics. Our school is a brand new building which means the students have access to excellent facilities.

However, since the building is new there is a strict rule prohibiting teachers from placing anything on the walls. This leads to a somewhat drab classroom. Currently there is no poster paper to draw on, no markers to draw with, and no way to hang posters up.

With some poster papers, markers, ceiling tile hanging kits, and the creativity of the students the classroom would go from boring to inspiring. Students would be able to make posters relevant to the content of the course using the markers and poster paper. The hanging kits would allow the students' work to be put up.

While a colorful classroom is not strictly necessary to education, it certainly helps.
