This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I are passionate about bringing the world of 3D printing into our afterschool program, but we need your help to keep our printers running! We're raising funds to purchase 3D printer filament, the essential material that allows our students to transform digital designs into tangible objects.

3D printing empowers students to explore their imaginations and create unique projects.

It also fosters critical thinking as students design, iterate, and refine their projects. They learn to troubleshoot and overcome challenges, skills that are invaluable in any field. My goals are to ensure consistent access to 3D printing materials for all students in order to help facilitate a makerspace environment where students can collaborate and innovate. My students are curious and creative. They all bring a wide range of perspectives and abilities to the program. Every spool of filament we purchase will translate into countless hours of hands-on learning and creative exploration.
