This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are imaginative, energetic, and full of curiosity. They light up when they’re given the chance to build, explore, and create with their own hands. I want to provide them with tools that spark joy in learning—resources that turn abstract concepts into real, meaningful experiences.
With this project, I’m bringing in Play-Doh for creative expression and fine motor development, perfect for calming minds and sparking imagination.
The LEGO sets and magnetic tiles (including themed animal sets like farm, jungle, and arctic) will help students build structures, tell stories, and engage in collaborative play that builds both STEM and social skills.
Our new Snap Circuits and solar STEM kits will give students the opportunity to dive into the world of electricity, engineering, and renewable energy—connecting science with the world around them. The PicassoTiles Marble Run will challenge their problem-solving skills as they design, test, and refine their creations.
To make math more engaging, we’ll use Fraction War and I Have...Who Has...? to build fluency in a fun, active way. The sports stacking cups will promote teamwork, focus, and quick thinking—skills that support both academic and social development.
Finally, sidewalk chalk brings a playful, artistic element to our outdoor learning time. Whether we’re drawing number lines, practicing spelling, or just creating colorful art, it helps make learning feel like play.
These resources along with the storage cart will create a classroom environment where kids can think deeply, collaborate with joy, and explore without fear. Thank you for helping bring our classroom to life through hands-on, hearts-on learning!
