Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our young students are beginning their journey of understanding the world around them and with your help, they’ll also begin learning how to care for it. We are launching a hands-on project focused on climate and the environment, where each child will decorate their very own reusable grocery store bag. These bags will serve as daily reminders that even small actions can have a big impact.

By designing and using their own reusable bags, students will be bringing important lessons home to their families and becoming young ambassadors for sustainability in their communities!

To make this project possible, we are requesting reusable bags, paint and markers. Furthermore, through this activity our kindergarteners will learn about the importance of reducing plastic waste, how our everyday choices affect the planet and ways we can all help fight climate change.

Together, we can spark a love for the environment in the hearts of our youngest learners and take one more step toward a greener future!
