My Project
Access to a variety of magazines in the classroom will provide my students with engaging, real-world reading material that fosters curiosity, builds literacy skills, and connects their learning to current events, science, culture, and beyond.
Magazines with diverse topics and appealing visuals will help reluctant readers find a gateway into reading while challenging advanced readers to explore new genres and perspectives.
My goal for this project is to create a rich and dynamic reading environment where every student can find something that sparks their interest and fuels their love for learning. My students are truly special—they are creative, curious, and eager to learn about the world. Many come from diverse backgrounds and have limited access to enriching reading materials outside of school. By bringing magazines into our classroom, I can give them the tools they need to dream bigger, think critically, and grow as learners and leaders in their communities.
