From Compost to Content!

Help me give my students an opportunity to experience entrepreneurship though urban indoor gardening.

My Project

Post COVID, we've introduced urban gardening to our students. We found many of them have never grown anything from seed, much less bring it to harvest. Our past two years have shown great success. However, there are areas we have not touched, such as combining composting and growing.

Edible home grown mushrooms are easy, tasty and can be profitable.

We want to show students how to turn a hobby into an sideline business . Americans throw away 40% of the food they bring into their homes. Ninety percent of this food can be composted and turned into fertilizer for plants or even: growing medium for mushrooms.
