it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our high school forensic science class, students become detectives, uncovering the mysteries of science through hands-on exploration. To deepen their understanding and enhance engagement, we are seeking funding for essential tools, including a microscope, UV lights, and instructional displays focusing on fibers, textiles, and tool markings. These resources will bring classroom lessons to life, allowing students to connect theoretical concepts to practical, real-world applications.
With these items, students will have the opportunity to conduct detailed analyses of evidence, such as examining microscopic fibers or identifying unique tool markings.
UV lights will illuminate hidden clues, introducing them to techniques used by real forensic experts. The instructional displays will serve as visual aids, reinforcing key concepts while sparking curiosity. By incorporating more hands-on activities, students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they analyze and interpret evidence, piece by piece.
Our goal is to create an interactive and immersive learning environment where students feel like true investigators.
