My Project
I teach a lively group of kind-hearted kindergarteners who are just beginning to understand and manage big emotions like anxiety, frustration, and sensory overwhelm. Many of my students don’t yet have the tools they need to cope during challenging moments, which can affect their ability to focus and learn. That’s why I want to create a calm, supportive corner in our classroom where they can take a break, reset, and feel ready to re-engage.
This project will provide a rug, sensory tools, soft seating, and emotion-regulation visuals to help students recognize their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies.
These resources will create a safe, welcoming space where my students feel understood and empowered. With your support, they will grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
