My Project
My students are deep thinkers who crave a connection between what they learn and the real world. With class sets of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Your Inner Fish, we’ll explore biology most powerfully: through stories. Henrietta’s journey brings cell biology and ethics to life, while Neil Shubin’s narrative connects anatomy and evolution in profound and mind-expanding ways. These books will ignite meaningful discussions and support genetics, evolution, and human biology standards. Most of all, they’ll remind students that science is a deeply human endeavor.
