This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year it has been awesome to watch my kindergartners learn so much about new experiences, especially science. One of the things they especially like is when we learn about baby animals and how they grow into adults.
A couple months ago we read about how a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and they talked about how cool it was.
I thought to myself, sometimes it is hard to find a caterpillar and how I wished for them to experience that. Then I thought about DonorsChoose and how I could request materials to have them experience it in our classroom. So I hope you will be generous enough to help them experience this change right in our classroom this spring with butterfly garden kits with larvae.
I am so requesting treats and toys to reward my students for their good behavior, for being kind, and for working hard.
