My Project
We are looking forward to learning about the life cycle of a butterfly while having our very own buterflies within our classroom. I am asking for live butterfly lifecycle kits. With these kits, I can show my students the exact process of both life cycles. I want to be able to provide visuals and concrete objects so my students can clearly see the process to become a full-grown butterfly.
We are learning about bugs and insects and we are looking forward to reading and creating projects that revolve around the insects/bugs life cycle.
It is important for students to understand the cycle of life and its recurrence in the world around them and to understand that these processes are not exclusive to themselves. They occur in animals and insects, too. I want to give my students this hands-on experience as they enhance their learning by oberving live caterpillars and drawing their observations. Using the butterfly growing kits, they will see the egg, larva, pupa, and adult stage of the painted lady butterfly.
My students learn best with hands-on activities. My students are visual and tactile learners. Snacks will also be provided to give my students the energy and help them continue learning.
