From Blurry to 3D!

Help me give my students a Micro 3D Printer that will give them a hand-on experience throughout their learning journey in Computer Science.

My Students

My students are fighting a battle harder than most. In our rural, low-poverty area, my students are met with challenges at home and of the world. I enjoy how they enter the classroom eager and ready to learn. They seem curious, enthusiastic, and creative; as my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. As I introduce computer science for the first time to many, I see the curiosity in their eye as if they will even pass this course. We were at the bottom 6% of failing schools in our state. With or without Title I assistance, it seems as if we cannot move forward. Just to see my students' smiling facing as if they have no worries, ease the facts out of reality. These students are a blessing in more ways than one.

My Project

The equipment I am requesting for my students will help them get a feel for what is being used in the REAL WORLD of continuous technology and to advance the way our students learn. The 3D printer can take academic concepts to another level. As the first year being off the failing school list, I feel like its time to change the way students are receiving and accepting educational activities. It will also increase the high level of student engagement to make learning active as it encourages real-world understanding and problem-solving. It's the 21st Century and we need to get with the times!
