it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What if you could look inside of a frog? We need new dissection supplies.
My students are seventh graders at a charter school in Northern California.
They have been studying life science all year and they love doing hands-on labs and activities. They are good scientists who ask interesting questions and love to learn about the world around them.
My Project
I am requesting preserved frog specimens for the students to dissect and new dissection supplies to replace the missing pieces in our old kits. One of the highlights of seventh grade science is our frog dissection, which is incorporated into the unit on vertebrate animals. They learn about the external and internal anatomy of the frog by carefully dissecting it. We really need new dissection equipment because the kits are very old and it is time to replace them.
By supporting this project, you are giving the students the opportunity to be real scientists and complete a dissection that they have been looking forward to since the first day of school.
