Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every student learns in a different way and I am a firm believer in differentiating instruction in my classroom so that all of my Kindergarten students succeed.

I teach in a kindergarten classroom with 19 kindergartners at an all kindergarten school with 500 students!

All of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is in a very low socioeconomic community. Most of our students have not had the opportunity to attend Pre-K or have significant learning experiences in their homes.

My Project

My students absolutely love read aloud time! They love hearing fun stories that are silly and that they can relate to. Froggy books are always such a hit with my students. Not only are my students being immersed in quality literature, they are engaged and actively listening. In a fast paced world when children are not read to often, my hope is to foster a love for reading for my students. Thank you so much for your consideration in helping me and my students to expand our classroom with more books.
