Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a general education second grade teacher. My school is a title one school and is in an urban neighborhood.
Funds in our school are limited and don't allow for extra supplies such as this: we have been learning all about different animal habitats and life cycles. What better chance to truly understand and comprehend than to witness tadpoles changing first hand.
I'm asking for a donation of a simple frog habitat called Planet Frog. It's a chance for the students to see a tadpole turn into a frog as well as what a frog needs to live. The children will benefit because they will truly understand, beyond pictures in a book, the amazing transformation that a frog goes through in their lives.
Your help with allow my students the chance to see the life cycle of a frog in person. This experience will live with them forever and give them a chance to truly appreciate nature. They will always remember the frogs they had as pets back in second grade.
