Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everyone remembers their first dissection - bring that memory to my 7th grade students. It will be an experience they never forget!
My students are curious and energetic middle school students.
The vast majority have never completed a dissection. They heard about our dissection last year and can not wait to learn anatomy for themselves and get involved in science! Our school has been hit by the cutbacks that are affecting everyone, but I don't want that to stop our students from getting the best education possible.
My Project
Getting involved in a dissection is often the most memorable experience a student gets in science. Like no other, dissections give the feeling to students that science is cool - that it is something they could devote themselves to. Getting these frogs will make that possible for my students and create a vivid, hands on lab that they will never forget!
Do you remember doing a dissection in school?
If you have, i bet you can remember it. The feelings, the images, the smells! Lets give that experience to my students with these frogs!
