This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Give my students the full Biology experience. Help! My students do not have specimens to dissect.
My students are extremely economically disadvantaged and often do not have pencils or paper for school.
I buy the basic school supplies for my students to use, however, I do not have the money to purchase specimens. My students need the same experience every other student has in Biology to be successful after high school.
My Project
Frog dissection is the lab my students look forward to all year. With these specimens my students will be able to work with a partner and study anatomy and physiology. The frog's anatomy is very similar to their own. By investigating the organs of a frog, students' understand their own body and health.
These specimens will give all my students an enriching experience that they may not have otherwise.
Dissecting is Biology's most influential lab and this is your chance to give that to students who need your help. Thank you!
