My students need 11 frog dissection kits to explore the anatomy of an amphibian.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. McGee's classroom raised $444

My Students
Looking at pictures of a dissected frog can't compare to the experience of a dissection lab. Our science curriculum includes vertebrate anatomy, and I need the materials to make the lessons "pop!"
My students attend 6th and 7th grade in a very rural district.
Many of the children have limited access to the Internet and have not traveled outside of the neighboring counties. However, they love to learn! My students enjoy exploring, building, researching, and anything that involves hands-on, minds-on learning.
My Project
The dissection lab kits come with everything we need to make the experience a success. In addition to the frogs, the kits include manuals, gloves, trays, pins, activity ideas, and tools. My students will be able to compare and contrast frog and human anatomy, and engage in discussions about the process of dissection.
I hope to instill a lifelong enjoyment of exploration.
My students will remember this unique experience, and will carry their love of science on to high school and beyond. By showing students that there's more to science than book work and old videos, I can inspire them to seek out learning opportunities.
