My students need these sets of Kan Jam games to help those with physical limitations to participate in an activity.

My Students

My students, in this low-income/high poverty inner city school district, live in an area where drugs, gangs, and unemployment run rampant. My classroom is full of a large group of diverse students, with varying interests. My classes are a group of amazing students that come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and receive free lunch.

My students are imaginative, adept, and curious.

This is because they are looking for simple joy in their lives. Finding activities they are excited about can be a challenge. However, I find that they are willing to try anything. My goal is to captivate them with fun and positive activities that can be played for their rest of their lives.

My Project

In my physical education classes there are a variety of students that participate. Some can be active fully, some cannot. Those who cannot are those limited by physical challenges. Keeping up, and participating fully, with non-physically challenged students can sometimes be a losing battle.

This project can help those with physical limitations participate and still gain a sense of accomplishment.

Having the option of the Kan Jam games allows all students to participate in an activity that they can enjoy beyond the classroom.

The Kan Jam games can be used indoors our outdoors and still provide activity, daily, for all!
