Help me give my students books about space including Hidden Figures and You Can Jump Higher on the Moon, as well as materials for our Roman unit so the students can create their own clay Roman coins.

My Students
The students at our school are amazing! They come into the classroom excited to learn and become involved in whatever topic that is in the plan. We have wonderful support from our parents. We have a very diverse population of students: culturally, economically, and with different learning abilities. It's become my goal to try and stay ahead of them!
Our third grade team is challenging our students to work independently and take charge of their learning.
This is a learning concept in itself, and we are guiding them along the way.
Our students are working hard to create a solid base of education. They appreciate what they have now, and they are learning to use their knowledge to take control of their education. We love to see their excitement grow as they are introduced to new information.
My Project
Our students will soon be studying the star, planets, and everything space…and then the Romans!
These are the favorite units our students look forward to every year, and we want to make their experiences “out of this world”!
We’ll start with some books about space to help them research the planets and space exploration. They will go on adventures with Katherine Johnson and the other women who helped our space exploration, as well as read about a moonwalk and check out Apollo 11!
Then back to earth and the past where we will find out Why Romans Wore Togas and what amazing things the Romans did for us. We will be exploring Roman Numerals by creating our own clay coins, and then use what we learned to decorate cardboard shields.
